Dear David, Marc, Roberto and Barbara we are very inspired by these acts of solidarity offered by Theater For Leaving, The Mandala Center for Change, Giolli and now Kuringa . After been with the local organizers in Ukraine and experiencing the difficult conditions that they are facing, these opportunities to further their TO training will be a great contribution to their efforts. The Joker's Tsunami and now the offerings for training from these important organizations are a welcome development in the International evolution of the Theater of the Oppressed movement. As ImaginAction we have been committed to bringing TO to communities that most likely won't be able to access the methodology. Besides our work with marginalized groups in Los Angeles, we have been able to bring TO to communities in India, Nepal, China, Sudan, Colombia, Mexico, Guatemala, Palestine, Afghanistan, Northern Ireland and now Ukraine. We are very proud of been part of these efforts and look forward to a more coherent and hopefully coordinated effort by the TO movement in responding to these type of invitations. We appreciate the initiative of our brothers and sisters in Ukraine in mobilizing the community by asking for international solidarity. Many thanks to all and we look forward to further developments.

Dear all,
A tsunami of solidarity is tacking place. Wonderful to see things evolving this way.
I would like to echo Hector’s words on a world movement, that can deal with this kind of circumstances we are currently dealing with in Ukraine and btw in other country’s as well a.t.m. We have been working extensively together with Combatants for Peace (Israel/Palestine) at Formaat. To learn and understand better how to deal with polarized models in our society trough TO in the last year. The answer to polarization in the world will be more and more needed. I think we all realize that. The virus called TO, needs to get in the blood circulation system of the oppressive structures more and more, as a healing and action method. it’s our answer. To change things for better.
I fully agree that we need to have a face to the world. For us to make make our work even more effective and visible. I still believe that they’re is no reason, when we could be united as TO Community, in a formal body, that appealing to subventions and means to finance things would be impossible . It takes some courage to start a movement, to think it out, and keep our own identity’s in it. I still believe it’s worth ago.
I truly hope that the Ukraine tsunami leads to a face of who we are, and what we can offer the world. Looking forward for y thoughts on the subject as it keeps crossing my mind for many years. Thanks for triggering it Hector.
Love and sollidarity from Rotterdam to all, and specially to our Ukraine friends in these day’s.

Dear all,
thank you very much indeed for this Tsunami of Solidarity. Obrigado Kuringa for this latest offer of concrete support in terms of future trainings for our Ukrainian Jokers.
This coming Sunday we will have a team meeting to discuss the shape of our TO collective in Ukraine. One item of discussion will be the different international trainings offered so far. Obtaining a tourist visa might be the biggest obstacle though if started early enough should not be a problem.
A world movement sounds wonderful though practically. Maybe another world conference following from the 2009 gathering could be something we can start thinking about?
Also, I would like to suggest regular google hangout conversations for Jokers across the world. Maybe once a month or every few months or so, whoever is free and up for a chat. Themes might include recent projects, critical reflections on the theory and practice of our methodology, methodological questions we have come across, taking care of each other (Joker Fatigue), etc.
If anyone is interested I would suggest the first talk for the end of this month, say Monday March 31, 20.00 (8pm) CET?
Hope everyone is well.
Best from Kyiv,
Hjalmar
